Inclusive design is an approach that means everyday products, services and environments must be available to as many people as possible. It is not just a question of a social idea or a way of reaching a bigger market. It can also be a method of improving things for everyone!
With inclusive design as a basis I investigate how to create a mechanical cleaning product that can compete with the vacuum cleaner.
Mechanical cleaning tools are generally disposable products that many people keep out of sight so you can’t see them. Thus they are not used as often as they might be. By creating visual sustainability, an increased life span and an emotional relationship with the user I hope I can create a cleaning tool that can take its place in the home.
