My project idea started when I did a research about the Chinese Comics, in which I could find the connection to my Swedish Illustration study. I chose the subject about my family’s story that was told by my grandfather when I interviewed him last summer.

This story is a true story that describes what has happened in my family in 1939-1945, when my grand-grandfather Wang Zhao killed one Japanese invader to save his sister.

The story also shows the gaps and bridges between people’s view from different generations and different cultures.
