Performance on reflection: formation of projected identity within social constructs

In my degree project I would like to explore and, consequently, test some social science theories converted into design forms. Namely, I would like to focus on design as a tool to obscure, erase, emphasize or embellish various facets within ones projected identity system. Considering how volatile, flexible and relatively abstract the notion of identity is, it’s essential to formulate my own definition of identity in relation to the proposed future artifact.

The installation is supposed to focus on interaction by tracing, recording, reflecting, predicting and mediating different components within users’ projected identity system through a multi-layered time-based experience. The aim of the installation is to create an event which will focus on the interplay between the artifact, users and environment.
